Workshop: “Working with the generation of today”

A workshop for teachers and workplace mentors in (V)MBO, centred on working with the current generation (16 – 25 years).
175 staff from the health and welfare sector have already taken this workshop.

The core aim of the workshop is to build familiarity with, and recognition of, today’s youth culture, followed by practical pointers that those involved can put to use straight away.

The workshop covers a number of themes, including:
– Development of the young person in this group
– Mobile phone culture
– How your own behaviour is mirrored in the behaviour of the young person
– The student’s need for clarity
– What the student is willing to take responsibility for
– Social media and its influence
– Understanding why rules matter for students
– How to work with the current generation
