About Franzen Coaching & Consultancy
Founded in May 2008.
After broad (management) experience in a range of organisations, both profit and non-profit, and a successful career as a senior education consultant, Marc Franzen founded Franzen Consultancy in May 2008.
Franzen Consultancy specialises in secondary and vocational (MBO) education. We work from the vision ‘Motivating education for teachers and students alike’. We achieve this by leading from essence. That means we stay close to the people in the organisation and work towards the organisation’s objectives from personal motivation.

Leading from Essence network
Marc Franzen is one of the partners in the Leidinggeven vanuit Essentie (Leading from Essence) network. The network consists of twelve leaders who explore together how – in their day-to-day actions – they can make a meaningful contribution to the questions, dilemmas and problems of our time, while giving purpose and meaning to everyday life. As a network, these leaders meet regularly to reflect on a wide range of issues and themes.
From this collaboration, the network supports leaders with personal leadership or organisational questions, among other things by organising themed two-day sessions.
The twelve also share their experiences as leaders in education, healthcare and government. They describe how they apply leading from essence and the development steps they have taken. The practical examples they use are recognisable to every leader and aptly illustrate the effect of this human view of leadership.
