The power of teamwork
“A good team is not made up of the best eight, but of the best eight together.”
Trust is the cornerstone of an effective team. Trust that your colleagues will do their work well and on time. A good team shares experiences and opinions with the group and takes decisions on the basis of dialogue. It matters that people listen to one another. Within a team the emphasis lies on working together, not on competition. A team needs to come together regularly to plan, to evaluate its objectives and, where necessary, to revise them. In team meetings you discuss difficulties, challenges and successes, and decide together on the strategy ahead. The whole is more than the sum of its parts.
From a rowing coach: “A good team is not made up of the best eight, but of the best eight together.”
